We have squeezed in as many walks as we can manage for our Cable TV show, “Finding Easy Walks Wherever You Are”. We met in Blackstone at the Blackstone Greenway, an essential section of bike path that will some day link many of the towns in the Blackstone Heritage Corridor. Brilliant fall colors brighten the scenery next to the Blackstone River

What fun to bring a friend to the Blackstone Greenway who had never seen the views from all the bridges on this railtrail before. Depending on where you start (and construction keeps changing this) there are about eight bridges on this section of railtrail from Blackstone to Millville. Granted, several of the bridges transport you over roads, but that simply means you have less to worry about as you walk or bike–very few grade crossings exist on this trail. Continue reading

Adaptive Biking again–Blackstone in May

Volunteer groupLast year we had one opportunity to participate in an adaptive biking program in the Blackstone Valley. Thanks to the generosity of the MADCR Universal Access Program, which funded these rides, 5 different dates in May 2019 have been made available to area residents who might want to take advantage of getting out on a bike regardless of one’s capabilities.
