As a personal historian, I pay attention to you and your stories, helping you understand the value of your experiences. You’ll get the help you need to start what you’re sure you’ll get around to someday, which is to write down all those family stories you carry around in your head. Many of those stories you think of often, but there are others you believe you’ve long forgotten.
Start big, or take small steps. You (or your loved one) talks, I listen, ask questions, record what you’ve said, transcribe the conversation, then transform the conversation into a written form that preserves your voice. My years of experience as a professional storyteller and writer are put to work for you. It’s your story told in first person, which reads with the liveliness that only occurs when there is an interested audience—that’s me!
The Magic of Sharing your Stories
When you write your stories down, your children and grandchildren will grasp that you once were quite young, just like them. Imagine reading stories out loud from your very own book with your grandchildren. They will smile, laugh, perhaps cry, and will surely feel closer to you.
