Great reviews coming in on Amazon and elsewhere for “Easy Walks”
“I was pleased to read your descriptions of local trails and I’ve learned some new locations from you that I will check out. I hike all around this region because I am a landscape photographer living in Franklin. Your book is a welcome addition, congratulations on a job well done!” Art Donahue, Franklin, MA
A Great Resource for Well Known and Less Traveled Walks in the Blackstone Valley “There are more than enough walks in this book to keep you busy for a whole spring through fall season! It provides great descriptions of easy walks in the Blackstone Valley area, including a very useful key that outlines the availability of amenities including: wheelchair accessibility, restrooms, parking, trail type, water access, dog permission and fishing. Includes directions, GPS coordinates and notable features of the area. ” Bernadette Rivard, Director, Bellingham, MA Public Library
“Love this book! Great guide for quick trips with the kids or without! It’s so easy to forget the beautiful places right in our own back yard. With this reference and all of the information about parking and which are pet friendly and what type of scenery to expect you can always find a quick trip to pull the kids away from their technology 🙂 love the thought and detail in this book. Highly recommend.” Ryan and Cassandra Seyffert, Blackstone, MA
Descriptions, notable features and photos of parks, ponds, river walks, farms and bikeways, each with detailed directions make it easy and intriguing to plan outings to 31 trails in ten towns southwest of Boston. Information on parking provided for all trails. Some have bathrooms, many allow dogs on leashes, and four are wheelchair (and stroller) accessible. Other activities available include biking at more than a third, and a limited number with canoeing, swimming, fishing, cross country skiing in winter and horse trails. I can hardly wait to explore some of the five Charles River walks. Highly recommended with some hidden gems. Mary Chitty, Somerville, MA
